My name is Guillaume Vermot des Roches, and I am the guy behind VibTwin. I am an independent research engineer, specialized in mechanical vibrations.
My main objective is to develop and offer my 18 years of experience at SDTools in vibrations to customers. Moreover, I continue contributing to the development and maintenance of SDT with the aim of providing industrially scalable solutions.
I obtained my Engineering degree from Supméca in 2007 and my Ph.D from Ecole Centrale Paris in 2011 on the transient simulation of industrial brake squeal for Bosch (now Astemo) and SDTools. Since then I accumulated 15 additional years of experience in the field through numerous projects realized in collaboration with universities and various industries.
My experience includes many long-term collaborations with expert teams in large companies including Stellantis, Mercedes-Benz, Astemo, Audi, Bosch, SNCF – companies with which I had the chance to publish my work – and more from automotive, aeronautics, spatial, agriculture, construction and luxury domain.
I had the chance to contribute to funded research projects with academic partners, namely AcouFren (Railway brake squeal), MAIAS, and CLIMA (damping in aeronautical junctions).
I continuously attend industrial and academic conferences and contribute in peer-reviewing activities in my domain, for scientific journals, international conferences, and project expertise.
You can find the list of my past publications and contributions here. I hope that new publications with VibTwin will soon follow!
